Written by Kenneth Grahame the Wind in the Willows began, like most, as a series of bedtime stories for his son that was later published in 1908. The beautifully written work, with its evocative descriptions of the countryside interspersed with exciting adventures, became a classic in children’s literature.

Your commemorative has been struck to a proof-like finish and features a full colour design of Mr Toad. In fact, the illustration was specially commissioned by Stephen Lee, you may remember he designed the Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland 50p Coin!
