Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of Gallipoli

Gallipoli remains one of the defining campaigns of the First World War.

In total it cost 29,134 British lives, 8,520 Australian and the New Zealanders 2,806. For Australia and New Zealand in particular, the stories of their soldiers’ heroics in the face of horrific conditions have become part of their national identities.

To mark the 100th anniversary of the Gallipoli Landings,a prestigious set has been released. This set includes two 1oz Silver coins by Australia and New Zealand, along with a Gold-plated 50 pence coin issued by Guernsey. Each has a unique reverse which depicts a piece of history connected to the battle

This limited edition set has been issued by countries who all played a decisive part in the battle of Gallipoli during 1915, and is presented in a large wooden presentation case along with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Just 250 are to be made available for the British, Australian and New Zealand market.
