June 15th commemorated the 800th year since the sealing of the Magna Carta by King John at Runnymede in 1215. The Magna Carta became one of the most important documents in history worldwide. And 800 years later, it is still as important.
The charter looked after the interests of the nobility and became the cornerstone of British constitution. It also brought the monarch under the law.
Because of its importance, a special coin cover has been released to honour this anniversary. It features six official Royal Mail stamps that feature a major bill or declaration which has been inspired by the Magna Carta - and of course the Magna Carta itself. The stamps have been officially postmarked with their first day of issue - 2nd June 2015.
With an edition limit of just 495 worldwide, and exclusively available from The Westminster Collection, ensure that you secure yours today to avoid missing out.
