In 2020, to mark the 75th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day, a special series of commemorative coins were issued. 

To honour such a historic anniversary an unusual round-50p specification was chosen for the series, featuring authentic photographs from 8th May 1945, plated in 24 carat gold and polished to a pristine Proof finish.

Five years on, as we celebrate 80 years since VE Day, these coins have become exceptionally difficult to source.
