Each year the Royal Canadian Mint releases a new Silver Maple Leaf Set, and each year their innovative designs and minting techniques ensure its long term popularity with collectors worldwide.
Canada 150 years of Confederation
This year marks Canada’s 150th birthday and in light of this, the Royal Canadian Mint has done something special to pay tribute to the iconic Maple Leaf by overlaying not one but three silver maple leaves, with each one becoming progressively smaller and selectively enhanced with its own distinctive finish.
The Mint have also taken the unusual step of dual-dating each coin 1867-2017 to mark 150 years of confederation.
Lowest mintage ever
The edition limited this year is just 5,500, that’s almost half of the edition limit of previous sell out issues – the lowest ever mintage for the annual Silver Maple Leaf set.
And with the popularity of other Canada 150 releases, this surely won’t be enough to satisfy demand.
We secured 50 sets from Canada before they were snapped up by Canadian collectors and you can secure one today – if you’re quick.
Your set will arrive housed in an official Royal Canadian Mint presentation case and complete with a certificate of authenticity.
