A brand new £2 coin has been issued to mark the 75th Anniversary of D-Day. On 6th June 1944, Allied forces came by land, sea and air and would eventually bring about the liberation of Europe and ultimately the end of the Second World War. 

Struck by The Royal Mint, this new coins features a design inspired by military maps and features the codenames of the 5 beaches – Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno and Sword.
