The UK's first Harry Potter 50p is now available! In fact, four 50p coins have been announced by The Royal Mint to celebrate 25 years since the publication of J.K. Rowling's first Harry Potter book Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
The design is inspired by Jim Kay's illustrations from the 2015 illustrated edition of the book. The other coins in the Harry Potter 50p series will feature the Hogwarts Express, Professor Dumbledore, and Hogwarts School.
Unusually, when complete, the coins in this collection will feature both Queen Elizabeth II and King Charles III's portraits.
