In 1917, the 'Windsor' name was adopted as the British Royal Family's official name by a proclamation of King George V, replacing the historic name of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha. 

This German-rooted name had come to the family in 1840 as a result of Queen Victoria’s marriage to Prince Albert, so the shift to 'Windsor' marked a monumental transformation in British history. 

Honouring the monarchs in this modernised royal family, you can secure the following coins from their reigns:
