Athletics Olympic 50p
Nine year-old Florence Jackson designed the reverse of this coin. She is the youngest person to ever design a UK coin having won a Blue Peter competition which included more than 17,000 entries.
Roared on by home support, and with the likes of Jessica Ennis and Mo Farah competing, team GB had a successful time in the Athletics stadium, winning six medals in total - four of them gold.
The coin features the popular field sport high jump with the bar being cleared by the athlete.
