The UK’s Last “Round Pound”

In 2016, The Royal Mint struck the UK’s last ever round pound coins before they were replaced with the new 12-sided, ultra-secure coins we're used to today.

Just 7,500 individual Last “Round Pound” Silver Proof Coins were released by The Royal Mint, and it's no surprise they're no longer available at The Mint.

That’s just 15% of the edition of the very first Silver Proof £1 Coin issued in 1983.

In short, the Last “Round Pound” Silver Proof coin is a must-have for UK coin collectors, especially at the price of £95.

The last Round Pound bears a special one-year-only heraldic design and is struck from Sterling Silver to a fine Proof Finish.

It is presented in an official Royal Mint Presentation Case.
