Since its publication 20 years ago, The Gruffalo's Child has cemented itself as a modern classic, beloved by families worldwide.

• Struck from Sterling Silver, to a perfect Proof quality, each coin has been finished with colour printing to bring the design to life. 
• In 2019, the first Gruffalo Silver 50p was issued. It became the fastest selling 50p in history and sold out of its full edition limit of 25,000 in 12 hours meaning a coin was sold every 2 seconds!
• Later in 2019 another Gruffalo UK 50p was released. It featured The Gruffalo alongside the main character of the book – Mouse – brought to life thanks to colour printing.  That coin had the same edition limit of 25,000 and sold out at the mint.
• Given previous sell-outs, the tiny edition limit of just 7,500 likely won't satisfy demand.
