Founded in 1899 as a branch of The Royal Mint, The Perth Mint’s primary purpose was to refine gold and convert it into gold sovereigns, which were used as currency throughout the British Empire.

Honouring the 125^th Anniversary of The Perth Mint’s first sovereign, a three-coin Sovereign Collection, featuring the Sovereign, Half Sovereign and Quarter Sovereign has been authorised for release.

What’s more, it is the first Australia Sovereign to be released featuring King Charles III.
