1911 George V Coronation Sovereign
In 1911, the Coronation year of George V, The Royal Mint released a 22 carat Gold Sovereign.
Sovereigns are Britain's flagship Gold coin, and those struck in the Coronation years are coveted numismatic treasures which are rarely offered on the secondary market.
In fact, only a small number survived the wartime melting pot, meaning few still exist today.
But, just a handful of Westminster Collectors can secure one for their collection today:
- First Sovereign to feature George V’s official portrait - struck in the year of his Coronation
- Struck from 7.98g of 22 carat Gold with a Very Fine finish
- Demand for this Sovereign is incredibly high – Coronation Sovereigns as rare as this are hardly ever seen on the secondary markets.
- In fact, this coin is out of stock at The Royal Mint
- JUST A HANDFUL AVAILABLE
But considering the scarcity of this historic piece, this Sovereign must be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
